amitriptyline for endometriosis

Hey , I think it's wise of you both to do research before she starts taking medications. There's power in being educated and being able to self advocate in the doctor's office. I haven't taken Amitriptyline myself, but I've seen mixed experiences from people with endo. Some say it helped with chronic pain and sleep, while others found the drowsiness hard to deal with. It might be worth trying if her GP recommends it, but everyone's experience seems to be different. 💛

Hey! During my appt with my endo specialist, he was explaining about how some GPs prescribe meds for endo management like Eugolix, Dinogest, etc. It is same like taking painkillers. These meds only manage the pain. For Amitriptyline it will only help if there is an added component of chronic pelvic pain which is more than endo! Are you going thru anything like that??? I would suggest pls pls research and considering your symptoms choose to take the meds!
