why isn’t post-surgery recovery for endo talked about in detail anywhere… everyone talks about surgery, no one talks about the after

it’s honestly weird how everything is about the surgery itself… the build up, the fear, the decision… but once it’s done, it’s like no one really talks about what comes after. the recovery isn’t just “rest and you’re fine”… it’s slow, confusing, some days feel okay and some don’t and you’re just trying to figure out what’s normal 😅 even mentally it’s a shift that no one really prepares you for… the whole after phase feels so under-discussed

  1. so true… everyone talks about the surgery like that’s the hardest part but the “after” is a whole different phase no one prepares u for 😭 the random ups and downs, not knowing what’s normal… it messes with u mentally also. how far along are u in recovery now??

  2. this is so real… everyone talks about the surgery like that’s the “big moment” but the after part is where it actually hits you 😅 the slow recovery, second guessing every sensation, not knowing what’s normal vs not… it’s such a weird in-between phase. and mentally it’s a lot quieter but heavier somehow, like you’re just processing everything on your own.

  3. yeah this part is barely talked about… it’s all build up and decisions and then suddenly you’re just… on your own figuring it out. recovery isn’t linear at all, some days feel normal and then the next day you’re questioning everything again 😅

and mentally it hits different too… like okay it’s done, now what? no one really prepares you for that space after.
