Ryeqo

Hello… anyone else heard of ryeqo? It’s a fairly new drug so I’ve been told and it essentially switches off your ovaries!
It’s working and nothing else has been so hoorah for that! I am no longer getting the shoot me now type pain and each month I am not getting the whole menstrual cycle build up let down type situation

  1. Hi
I was on Ryeqo since June this year. It stopped my periods straight away and endo pain went but a few days ago I made the decision to stop taking it and this is why. Over the months I became more and more in pain with leg aches and overall aches and pains. I got hot flushes but this didn't bother me too much. I have been through a horrible time in my personal life lately so did consider if stress was a factor but as the months went on, my legs pains became awful and even my feet and ankles were stiff and I started to feel as if I'd aged rapidly. I was struggling to walk down the stairs without difficulty. This may not be the case for everyone but I did find some over forum post and one lady had said she also had an issue with her legs and prior to ryeqo was a weight lifter and within 12 months was using a mobility scooter. She said her legs were back to normal within months of not taking it. I am on day 4 of not taking it and I woke up today and noticed more movement in my feet and leg pains were not as present. I just wanted to write this post to make others aware who may start to notice these symptoms. Everyone reacts differently to medication so hopefully it won't be the case for yourself or others.

    1. That's so interesting that you experienced that side affect. I'm curious how you're feeling now after a few more days of being off the medication. Have your legs improved? And how are your endo symptoms since you stopped? - Kat (Team Member)

  2. I am still having some leg pain when it's cold but I have OA in both knees. The medication made this much worse. Mentally I feel so much better. I have not had a period and have been of the medication for nearly 2 weeks now. No return of endo pain so far. On the first few days I felt as of I was going to have a period and did have one day with some sharp pains in my left lower abdomen but that is all. My periods stopped the moment I started Ryeqo but haven't returned yet coming off it. I still think the hrt I was given originally was a wrong move regarding endo.
