Ms Marie L

Iv had pain in my left pelvic area from before i started my periods and very rarely does that pain leave me and i'm 73 yrs of age now. doubled up in agony at any time of my cycle especially for a few days during. I had 4 miscarriages and a hysterectomy before reading my notes and finding out i had endo. I still suffer in agony at times and have been told its scar tissue.since iv been on a low carb diet and i eat as little processed food as possible i have to say i have suffered less. Probably once every 3/4 weeks i have a day with strong pelvic pain but i'm now able to live a much healthier active life.

  1. I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been to live with that level of pain for so many years without knowing the actual reason behind it. I remember how frustrating it felt when my symptoms didn’t have an explanation, and finally understanding what was happening made a difference. It’s really encouraging to hear that you found changes like your diet helped reduce the pain and that you are able to stay active and enjoy a healthier life now.

  2. That sounds like such a long time to live with that kind of pain 🙁 I cant imagine dealing with it from before your periods even started and then finding out much later that endo was in your notes. The part about still getting those flare ups even after hysterectomy really caught my attention. Did anyone ever explain to you what they thought was causing the pain after the hysterectomy, apart from the scar tissue? And when you changed your diet, how long did it take before you actually noticed a difference?
