Symptoms??

Hey everyone,
I'm new here but for the past 2 years I've been having EXTREME pelvic pain & lower backaches. This gets so much worse during & before & after my period. This is accompanied by rectal pain, pain & pressure while pooping, constipation, nausea, & leg pains. My first period was when I was 10 & im 18 now. They've always been super irregular, sometimes they don't come at all or come 2 times a month & spotting. I've had pelvic ultrasounds to rule out cysts & nothing. Has anyone had this ?

  1. Hello , thanks for reaching out. The symptoms you describe sound like they could be endometriosis, but this needs to be diagnosed by a doctor. With endometriosis, ultrasounds are not enough, and the only way to diagnose the disease is through a laparoscopy. I am attaching a link with information on the ways to diagnose the disease:
    https://endometriosis.net/diagnosis/
And also, a link to an article about symptoms:

I hope this helps, please reach out if you need more information or have any more questions. We are here for you 😀 - Jessie (team member)

    1. It's completely understandable to be nervous, but it sounds like you have a good grasp of what's going on. The more specific you can get with symptoms and their timing, the better! Keep us updated on your progress! - Keri (team member)

    2. Just be honest with them, I honestly told my doctor I diagnosed myself and she asked me if I ever had a laproscopy I said no. The laproscopy is the only way to diagnose endometriosis “they say” but who know our body better than ourselves?! Go with your gut be honest and true to yourself

      You got this!

  2. Hi there , just wanted to check in and see how you are doing! I certainly have had your symptoms before. Were you ever able to receive a diagnosis or find any relief? -Kimberli (Team Member)

    1. Hey!
I would really advise that you push with dr about getting some answers. I experienced all those symptoms for 4 years before anyone listened to me. My own personal experience resulted in paying privately to get a diagnosis after being told it was all in my head. You know your own body and you know when something isn’t right. Push for answers now whilst you are young and can hopefully get some help. I’m not a professional but going off What you have said and from my experience it sounds like endometriosis. You will find scans will come back normal, I had 10 show that there was ‘nothing’ but that was far from the case. Sending love ❤️
