Help/advice

Ever since I got my booster shot im feeling I have already endometriosis, I was 2 weeks delayed after I got my booster shot and that was the first time in my whole cycle. Before my period starts I was experiencing all the symptoms related to endometriosis like leg pain, nausea and my lower back really hurts then the day I got my period it was the worst pain I experienced so far to the point I dont want to eat. My period is due this aug 13 (hopefully) and right now my pms is really worst than usual, pain all over my legs and lower abdomen. Next Month I'll be visiting a doctor if this will happen again, I THINK BOOSTER SHOT MESSED UP MY CYCLE

  1. Hi First, let me say I’m sorry for what you’re going through Leg pain, nausea, belly cramps, and trouble eating are common among people with endometriosis. And I do think it’s a good idea to talk to your doctor about your symptoms. Second, when it comes to the booster, you’re not alone with vaccine-associated changes to your menstrual cycle. There’s research showing that it caused a longer cycle in many women around the time of the booster. Personally, mine came early right after my 2nd shot. The good news is there’s no evidence that it affects your menstrual cycle long term or causes any harm. Here’s a story from other warriors about their period experiences with the COVID-19 vaccine, in case it’s helpful! https://endometriosis.net/living/covid-vaccine-flare - Keri (endometriosis.net team member)

    1. thank you so much, im hoping this is just side effects of booster.

    2. just wanted to chime in and share my experience with you! I am sorry you are experiencing all those symptoms; I know they are no fun at all. I agree with Keri, talking with your doctor would be the best bet, many of those symptoms are relatable to endometriosis. And I certainly can relate to every single one of them, too. As for the vaccine, I didn't see a change with the first two in my cycle. It wasn't until I got my booster, where I started noticing my menstrual cycle was off. It started coming earlier and earlier in the month. Then there was a month it wouldn't come. And now it's back and comes even earlier in the month. The cramping is so much worse too. But like Keri said again, there is no evidence yet that it should cause these affects long term. So hopefully it will all pass soon! Please know, we are here for you always. So, reach out anytime you need us. Hope this week is a good one for you. -Kimberli (team member)
