  1. "Hey Everybody,
I am so happy and blessed to say that I am officially having endometriosis surgery next monday. This pain all started when I was 13 and know being 18 and 1/2 I finally get some answers soon. The fight is not over but I will continue to be an advocated. Because PAINFUL PERIODS ARE NOT NORMAL. And hopefully this excision surgery gives me some relief. I love this community because y'all SPEAK TRUTH.
Have a amazing day everybody!!!! 😀"

  2. "Hey everybody I haven’t been on here in a long time. Since October I have been having really bad Gi issues and I had no idea that could be because of endometriosis. I have been on birth control for two years and I thought it was helping but I am not so sure. I finally got my doctor to give me a referral to see a specialist and received a list of doctors in my area that seem to be good from someone else battling endometriosis. I am going to fight and keep fighting because this is not normal and I am not no little girl no more that would listen to there lies. If you have any advice for me as I go through this new journey please let me know?
    I hope y’all have a amazing day"

  3. "Hey everybody. Does anybody feel sick before your period? My last period my stomach was hurting and I felt my food coming up after I would eat. Then this time during my period first my throat was hurting. And then I had bad stomach pain and it feels like I have to throw after I eat. Does anybody know why?"

    1. Sorry you're experiencing this, it sounds terrible. GI issues are common with endo, and you could have another condition that is causing this. Here are some articles that might help:

    2. I am so sorry to hear you’re going through this. I have this happen a lot. I used to throw up so often that I saw a GI doctor about it a few years ago. They wanted to rule out SIBO, celiac or other stomach issues. But my endoscopy and biopsies all came back normal. My GI doctor said that hormones can boost inflammation as well as “make the system slow down,” and that includes the whole GI tract from the mouth to the butt. I also get sores in my gums before my period as well as body chills and other flu-like symptoms.

While I think it’s definitely a good idea to check with a GI doctor about your symptoms if they’re new, I worked with a dietitian to change how I ate around my periods. Basically, I eat small meals more often — small meal being a 1 1/2 cups of food at most. And that’s helped a lot in terms of pain and nausea. Wishing you well! - Keri (endometriosis.net team member)

  4. "Heyy everybody. Today is better day I switched to the hormonal patch instead of the shot because of the pelvic pain and the bone pain. And I am a lot better accept the four bad cramp days but my Docter give me 600mg ibuprofen to take three times a day to help with the cramps. I still have not seen a specialist I asked my mom for my birthday if I can go see one hopefully I do. I never went back to the other Docter bc she did not know anything about endo I quizzed her I said around my period I have to pee a lot and it is starting to effect me off my period and she said I am not that type of docter but she clearly does not know about bladder endometriosis so I was like hecky no I am outtt😂😂never returned ✌🏾. But I just being using heating patches and gone vegeterain that helped with my stomach issues with meat but I love cheese and I know I have to stop eating it but it is so hard 😒.
    How are y’all doing?"

    1. Thanks for updating us on how you're doing! And I'm glad to hear that you're doing better on the patch and with eating less meat and dairy. I will be thinking good thoughts that you'll be able to see a specialist soon! Things are ok on my end...my symptoms mainly seem to be in remission at the moment. ~Katrina, Endometriosis.net Advocate
