Shoulder pain during period
Does anyone else get shoulder pain during period. I've been having problems with my right shoulder for a while, even when not on the period. This time I am feeling right shoulder pain during my period this month.
hi there! That shoulder pain is no fun and I am sorry you are experiencing it. I do get it from time to time on my period. It seems like lately it has been a lot more. Sometimes, shoulder pain can be a sign of thoracic endometriosis. I will say for me and my experience, out of my surgeries I have so far, my doctors have not diagnosed me with that, so it could just be a fluke thing for me with the shoulder pain during period. But if you haven't brought this up with your own doctor, this definitely could be a good place to start. You may want to seek an endometriosis specialist as they may be better able to assist you with this specific topic. I feel like it is still considered 'rare' that so many doctors still don't even know much about it. I will be bringing it up to my gyn again this month for sure. After many cancelations of the appointments on my end, I am finally going to see the endometriosis specialist next Wednesday(December 13th). My last two periods I had the right sided shoulder pain. So I am definitely bringing that up. To the specialist when I see her.
