Our pets are like family members and they play such a huge role in our overall mental and physical health.
They're there for us on the good days and the bad days, always ready to cheer us up and make us smile.

This is Gunther. Gunny is my first dog and boy oh boy, he can be a lot lol. He is obstinate, willful, stubborn, insanely smart, and tests me like no other. He is also a velcro pup, always the first to give kisses and cuddle, tries to make us laugh constantly, wants to "get under" his blankets at all times, will do pretty much anything for a treat, and is genuinely one of the sweetest and silliest pups I've ever known. To know this big lug is to love him.
He is easily the best part of my day. I love how intuitive he is and can sense when I need a little extra love and comfort but also when I just need a good laugh. Even while writing this, Gunther is staring at me as if to say "Mom, you should stop typing and come cuddle with me. It'll be good for you."
What did we ever do to deserve these guys? π π
This is one of my favorite pictures of Gunther in all of his teenage dirtbag glory after a long, happy, and messy afternoon at the dog park.
