Letrozole

Hello fellow warriors! Has anyone else tried Letrozole for endometriosis? I had a excision/Lap in October along with getting the Mirena IUD at the same time. It's been a while and I still have pain so my specialist put me on Letrozole 2.5 mg, he mentioned break through pain while starting it.
Has anyone else experienced this?

  1. Hi ! Thanks for writing in! I've not had experience with Letrozole myself but wanted to ask while we wait for other community members to chime in, I wanted to ask, are you experiencing that breakthrough pain the doctor brought up since you started the Letrozole? How have you felt overall with it? 💛 Warmly, Kayleigh, Endometriosis.net team

    1. Hello! So I started Letrozole a little less than two weeks ago, I luckily haven't had any side effects except for the break through pain. It is funny because it has already gotten rid of some pain but I still have a bit of cramping elsewhere. My doctor said it usually gets better after the first week-ish so I am hoping the cramping will start to wind down. Overall though I feel better and actually feel like my bloating has gone down!

    2. Hi!! 😊. That's great about overall feeling better and feeling like your bloating has gone down. I always feel so uncomfortable when I bloat - I literally have a drawer dedicated to it - you know - the sweatpants that you've had for years that anyone else would throw away but the fact that there is NO elastic makes them prime for those days when you can't have anything touch your abdomen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the pain to subside like your doctor mentioned it should. Please keep me posted on how you're feeling and if you feel like it has continued to help! Thinking of you and I hope you have a great weekend. 💛🎗Kayleigh, Endometriosis.net team
