  1. Hi Sarahjane,

It's entirely possible you could have endometriosis. I had endometriomas that became quite large and also endo that was growing near my sacral nerve. This caused me foot, heel, leg, and hip pain that resolved after surgery. Before surgery, I was having trouble walking or standing for very long. I saw a foot/ankle doctor, a spine doctor, a chiropractor, and a PT before I had surgery and none of those things helped. Of course, I'm not a doctor, and this is my story, but I think it's worth exploring the possibility that you have endo.

If I were you, I would search for the closest highly trained endo doctor near you (not a general gynecologist) and have them evaluate you.

Best of luck and please keep us posted. ~Katrina, Endo.net Advocate

    1. First of all, , thank you for your front line care work. It's hard work at the best of times, and obviously so much more difficult since COVID. Thank you for keeping the hospitals functional.
Your pain sounds really intense-- I'm so sorry you are dealing with all of that. The pain that you describe could be endometriosis. It could be something else too, but the fact that it is worse on your period weeks sure make endo a possibility. It may help to keep a record of your symptoms and your periods, and ask your GP to refer you to a gynecologist sooner than later.
Please stay in touch with us. I will be thinking about you and sending best wishes!
