Dyspareunia

Does anyone have recommendations for Dyspareunia (pain during sex)? My partner and I have not had intercourse in several months due to this. We have discussed it and they are very understanding- though this has impacted me greatly. Any and all recommendations welcome. My doctor recommended pelvic floor massage therapy, but the is not attainable for me at this time.

  1. - thank you for being here and for your question. You are certainly not alone. So many of us warriors deal with this as well and it definitely can be so hard on us and our significant other. I am in the same boat about PT- have heard great things about it but just not in a place where I can do it right now. I wanted to share some articles that I think you may find helpful. https://endometriosis.net/living/fix-painful-sex https://endometriosis.net/living/healing-painful-sex https://endometriosis.net/sex-intimacy Hopefully these do help give you some good ideas to try. 1. Hi , thanks for joining our community and posting about this common and challenging topic. It's so great that you and your partner have been able to discuss this--it's hard for so many couples to even start the conversation, so I give you a lot of credit for that big step. But even though your partner has been reassuring, I hear you that it is still impacting you. Endo can just be hard, affecting all parts of life. Know that you are not alone in dealing with this.
Here's a link to an article that may be useful, with advice from a sex therapist on dealing with dyspareunia: https://endometriosis.net/living/sex-therapist-1
Please stay in touch. Sending best wishes to both of you! -Audrey (endometriosis.net team)
