Bloating

Hello, I've recently developed a pain in my back and bloatedness. It feels like trapped wind. Also niggling pains running down my legs. I suffered with endometriosis until I entered menopause and it miraculously didn't affect me anymore. That lasted 4 years. However, last month I had a flare up that lasted a day. And this month my stomach is bloated, my back is particularly sore as well as my side and niggling pains shooting down my legs. I've felt this way for over a week. I don't know whether to phone the GP, take anti-inflammatory medication , try a 10 machine or alternative therapies . Thanks for your help . Love Lori

  1. Hi , thanks for writing in. It sounds like you're very familiar with the feelings that endometriosis can cause, but you haven't had to deal with them for some years (yay, menopause!). Since these symptoms are new (after 4 years without), and have already lasted a week, to be safe I think it makes sense to contact your GP to let them know what you're experiencing. Please let us know how things go for you. Wishing you the best! -Audrey (endometriosis.net team)

    1. Hi Audrey, Thank you for your message. I was actually grateful for menopause although pre-HRT I was a mess! lol I did phone my GP to be on the safe side and have an appointment tomorrow morning. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again. Lori

      1. Hi , I wanted to check in and see how your doctor visit went. Let us know how you're feeling when you get a chance for an update 😀 - Keri (endometriosis.net team member)
