Vibrating/Buzzing Sensation

Hi all, New here, looking forward to getting to know you all! I've had a few weird things happening with my dodgy body lately and would love any input please. So, I was diagnosed with Crohns disease a few years ago while I was in hospital for my Cystic Fibrosis. A month later I was diagnosed with PSC. Fun times LOL.

Anyhoo, my Crohns has been in remission for a year but I have started having severe nausea, fatigue, bloating and pain again. Normally I would think it was my Crohns flaring, but I have a few new weird things going on. - My last 2 periods have been EXTREMELY painful. - The pains are lower than my normal Crohns pain. - I never usually have any bleeding in between periods, but I have been bleeding after sex and other random spotting. - I have a freakin weird vibrating/buzzing sensation in my lower left abdomen that is there most of the time. I also have had infertility for 12 years. Endo and Crohns can often be closely linked so I was wondering if anyone else has this weird vibrating thing going on?

Will chat to my GP next week, just hoping they listen to me and look into what it is. Thanks so much for any help. xx

  1. Hi there , I first would like to officially welcome you to the community! I am so thrilled that you have found us & that you have already jumped in by asking a question for our members. This is certainly a very odd & frustrating symptom. I wish I could share some advice or personal experience, but I must say this is something I have not experienced (buzzing/vibrating sensation). I am hoping others may be along from the community to share their feedback as I too am very interested to hear if anyone can relate. Let us know how your appointment goes & fingers crossed you may get some answers!

    1. Welcome to the community . Thank you for being here. That certainly does sound like a lot to be dealing with! I don't really think I have experienced the vibrating/buzzing sensation, but I certainly have experienced all of the other symptoms you said. Do you notice this sensation to start after something specific? Like sex, something you ate, exercising, etc? I know you said it is there most of the time, but maybe keep a journal of when you really notice it and what you were doing right before. I am so glad you went to see your doctor though! How did it go? -Kimberli (Team Member)

      1. I don’t have a answer. But I do know what you are talking about. I had buzzing, or vibrating all day yesterday. But I had a colonoscopy three days ago. I also experienced a lot of discomfort n my whole abdomen. But the buzzing was happening in my lower right abdomen.

        1. Thank you for sharing with us . I just wanted to check in with you and see how you are feeling and if you have been able to get any answers? Hope you are doing well! -Kimberli (Team Member)

        2. Due to multiple issues, I also have had 3 colonoscopies within a four month period. I wonder if there is a connection to the colonoscopies???

      2. I have also experienced (Just in the last month) that same buzzing/vibrating in my left side of my stomach. It happens quite frequently now. I have no ideas as to why this is happening. I will be bringing it up to my primary care Doctor the next time I have an appointed. Very frustrating especially since the frequency has increased quite alot.

        1. Hiya , I’m glad you will be talking to your doctor about this. Personally, I haven’t experienced that symptom, but there are other sensations I have felt, that were very strange, and the best thing I did was share them with my GP. I hope you get some answers. In the meantime, know we are all here for you – Jessie (team member)
