Ovulation

Does anyone else have ovulation problems with their endometriosis? I’ve been doing ovulation tests for over a couple months now, and I don’t think I’ve seen one positive test. I just wondered if anyone else has had this. I may be doing them the wrong time of day or not quite right but would be interested to see if anyone else has experienced the same

  1. I’ve never tested for ovulation, but I definitely have an irregular menstrual cycle. And that means I ovulate at different times each month. If you are trying to get pregnant, or you’re worried about fertility, I’d definitely talk with your OB/GYN to see if they could let you know when you should test for hormones associated with ovulation. They could also test you hormone levels and rule out other conditions. Issues like poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) often result in a lack of ovulation. If you talk to your doctor, let us know how it goes! - Keri (endometriosis.net team member)

    1. - not diagnosed with endometriosis yet, but I suspect I have symptoms.
And yes, I found out I have ovulation problems, I went to the OBGYN recently in january, and she has mentioned that she thinks I have anovulatory bleeding, where I don't ovulate, but still have periods. I went back recently this month(just on the 10th) and she still thinks something is off with not ovulating.

      1. I am so sorry you are having a difficult time as well. Has your doctor mentioned next steps for you to see if endometriosis can be a culprit to your symptoms? -Kimberli (advocate)

      2. not really, but I was already in the process of finding out if I have endometriosis. I keep chickening out though, and canceling appointments with the endometriosis center because I am nervous, they won't find anything wrong.
