My GYN didn't ditch me after all!

In my post 'Updating my Support System', I spoke about how it looked like my GYN of 16yrs left her practice to become an IVF specialist and didn't refer me to another GYN. I was devastated by this and the stress did a number on my IBS.

Thankfully, as the title gives away, she hasn't dropped me as a patient. I was finally able to get a hold of her, she forgot in the whole process to let me know because of how quickly she got accepted at the IVF place. She will keep seeing me as a patient, for not sure how long. As for the insurance form she was filling out for me, she has no idea where it is.

We have a telephone appointment near the end of May.

I am so happy I still have her as a GYN. Hopefully she didn't forget other patients too.

Oh, on Wednesday I was diagnosed with Post Cholecystectomy Syndrome. That's where you still get gall stone symptoms after having your gallbladder removed.

  1. I'm so thrilled to hear you can still work with your gyn! What happens next with your insurance form? Do you have to start all over again?

Boo on the PCS. How absolutely frustrating that must be! ~Katrina, Endometriosis.net Advocate

    1. I'm not sure what happens next, I'll find out when I talk to her later this month.

Yes, it is frustrating but it's so amazing to finally have an answer, peace of mind is amazing. Plus another diagnosis will help me if I need to apply for disability....which I might need to do because my husband might be divorcing me. He packed a bag and went to his mom's tonight.
