Maternity Care Guide

This is my first time expecting a baby, and I am seeking guidance on maternity care. I want to ensure the best for myself and my baby. Any help or tips from ladies who have gone through this phase.

  1. I suggest you to take proper diet and get proper sleep

    1. Hi . Congratulations! How exciting! When are you due? There are some studies that show people with endometriosis are at higher risk for complications, but others show no difference. I have a few friends with endo who have had perfectly uneventful pregnancy, so I hope that bodes well for you. Awareness is key for both you and your doctor. You might want to ask your doctor whether you need additional monitoring and what to look out for. Even if the risk isn't higher, your doctor might agree to monitor you more frequently for your peace of mind. Here is an article that discusses pregnancy and endometriosis that you might find helpful: https://endometriosis.net/clinical/pregnancy-risks.
I have had three pregancies myself, including a set of twins, though I do not have endometriosis. Sleep is important when you are pregnant as are exercise, stress reduction and proper nutrition. I also found it very helpful to understand the birthing process fully. It took away much of the fear of labor and helped me feel in control. I was able to birth three of my kids naturally, though one twin gave me some trouble and required a c-section. Understanding the birthing process can also help you feel less disappointed if the birth doesn't go the way you envisioned it.
Enjoy this time and take pride in your changing body.
I hope others chime in with experiences and insights. Congratulations, again! Keep us posted if you don't mind. I will be sending lots of healthy vibes your way. - Lori (Team Member)
