Endometriosis pain relief

Help, any ideas welcome 😭 I ended up in an and e Friday night with extreme pain and they have started me on tramadol, diclofenac and cocodamol. Still getting no relief. I am using a tens machine and a hot water bottle the majority of the day but getting no relief!

  1. sorry to hear you're having such intense pain that it took you to A&E. It sounds to me like this is definitely worth checking out with your GP and especially with a gynecologist who specializes in endometriosis so you can figure out if this is endo or something else. I'm guessing that the pain is related to cramps? What specifically are you dealing with? Sending hugs! ~Katrina, Endometriosis.net Advocate

    1. Hi Katrina thank you so much for getting back to me. I have had two previous surgeries both positive for endometriosis. I have an appointment with a specialist on the 23/1 so hopefully they can sort a plan. The pain I've got is like someone is stabbing in my hip/ovary area, feels like someone I trying to pull everything down. The pain also goes all around into my back and is radiating to my legs. I've also started with issues with my bowels and bladder, feels like I'm not getting rid of everything and is painful when I am passing urine or having a bowel movement. Hope this helps like I say thank you for responding

      1. I'm so sorry to hear about those symptoms. They sound quite similar to ones I had before my last excision surgery. I had bowel involvement and deep infiltrating endometriosis. You might google that phrase to read up on it and see if your symptoms match...you could bring that info to your doctor if the symptoms do match up. I found some relief from very gentle yoga and stretching, and seeing a pelvic PT might be helpful as well. Please keep us posted! ~Katrina, Endometriosis.net Advocate

    2. Hi, I’d recommend looking into ‘alternative’ treatments, like acupuncture and osteopathy. Acupuncture made a big difference, and my acupuncturist taught me pressure points that make a minor difference - but it’s a difference and it helps. I live in Europe, my insurance covers alternative medicine and thus acupuncture and osteopathy. Good luck x
