Endometriosis

Hi I just wanted to ask for some advice,
I am a 24 year old female & for around 5 years now I have suffered from what I THINK is endometriosis, I have had so many a&e trips doctors appointments, been under gynaecology, my symptoms are, horrendous pain, heavy periods or missed periods, shoulder pain, poo pain & bleeding in poo, shoulder pain, horrible fatigue, headaches, depression, constant pelvic pain, pain during sex, difficulty conceiving, every symptom of endo. I have had 5 ultrasounds internal & the lady said I have covered in endo and mainly my left side is worse which is why I have more pain in left side, however her words “we aren’t aloud to diagnose”
After my last scan gynae finally said I need laparoscopy for a diagnosis & testing for my tubes with a dye,
I had my surgery on the 21st December a week ago today & they have told me they have found NOTHING! My left tube was blocked & I have been told this is normal and my right tube works fine. So after all this pain and healing I am left deflated as still no answers!
Does anyone have any advice 🤦🏼‍♀️🥺

  1. Hi . I can see why you are so frustated. For all these years, you thought you had the answer, and now you are being told that diagnosis is wrong. My heart goes out to you. Given that you have pain and bleeding when you move stool, have you considered seeing a gastroenterologist? You might also consider getting a second opinion from a gynecologist who specializes in endometriosis. Another possible avenue to investigate is thyroid issues. Since the thyroid regulates so many bodily functions, it can wreak havoc when it's out of whack. Have you ever had any thyroid testing? Thinking of you and wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
