This coincidentally happened to me a few weeks ago! I don't have kissing ovaries. But my cycle has been very irregular over the past year, and my last period came out of nowhere (I'd just had my period 13 days prior) and only lasted about a day and a half. I called my regular doctor because this has never happened before. She said there are so many different reasons why a menstrual cycle (the time between periods) and bleeding itself would be shorter than usual. One is physical or emotional stress. Another is perimenopause (I'm 41). But she said ovarian/endometrial cysts could definitely affect things, and I'm going to have an ultrasound with my OB/GYN to check things out. I also had my thyroid tested (it's normal) since that can cause irregular periods. In the meantime, my doc told me to let her know if I ever have bleeding so severe I have to change a tampon every hour and to check in with her if my symptoms continue for 3 cycles or longer. I definitely think this is something worth bringing up with your doctor. Keep us updated! Keri - team member
