What a great question. Surgery is different for everyone, but I’ll share what I experienced. I’ve had 3 surgeries for endometriosis, and my worst symptom was actually fatigue. The doctor says that can happen from anesthesia as well as the body just healing from the trauma of surgery, in general. I had pelvic soreness that made walking around kind of hard for a few days. But nothing too bad. And the pain after surgery was nothing compared to my general period pain. My first period after each surgery was pretty rough, but they did not get worse after that. And normally I felt good enough for work within a week and back to normal exercise and such in about a month. - Keri (endometriosis.net team member)
