The Hinck Laboratory at UCSC is conducting a research study about endometriosis. To move this project forward, we are seeking donations of menstrual blood. By joining, you will be contributing valuable information that may benefit patients in the future.
Please participate in this study if you:
- Are a menstruating woman between 18 and 45 years old.
- Are not on hormonal birth control or using a hormonal IUD.
- Have been diagnosed with endometriosis.
- Own and utilize a menstrual cup as your menstrual blood collection/retention method.
What will you do?
Using your own menstrual cup, you will collect a sample of your menstrual blood at home using a collection vial we supply. You will also complete a brief questionnaire regarding your menstrual health. You will return your sample and questionnaire within 24h after collection using a return mailer we provide.
