Does endo cause you to pass large blood clots?

  1. Hi there ,

Thank you for your reaching out & for your question. Personally, I have experienced clotting. While we cannot share medical advice as we are not qualified healthcare professionals, that being said, I recall my doctor telling me that clots can be normal (if smaller than a quarter I believe) during your period, but anything causing you to change your tampon or pad every hour or so, prolonged days, etc. should be further evaluated... it is always of course a good idea to discuss with your doctor in order to rule out anything more serious.

Do you find that this is regularly happening for you?

    1. Hi , I too have experienced the passing of big clots. And it is something I have discussed with my doctor extensively, to assess what’s normal and what’s not. Heavy periods are a common endometriosis symptom, and they are pretty draining and debilitating. Echoing Jo’s words, I would advise you speak to your doctor. Take care – Jessie (team member)

  2. Hi . I experiencing a lot of clotting. Sometimes big sometimes small. After my last surgery, my doctor said it was most likely because of adenomyosis. And of course heavy periods are def common with endo as well. Have you chatted with your doctor about this? Is it something that happens a lot for you? -Kimberli (Team Member)
