Missed period negative pregnancy

I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo and adenomyosis in April. Most of my endo was removed in surgery and I also lost one of my ovaries and Fallopian tubes.
I then had 3 months of prostap injections.

My periods returned in September and we was told to start trying ASAP. My period have been regular for the last 3 months and then this month I am now 7 days late but all pregnancy tests are negative.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks

  1. Hi, , you have been through a lot this year!
Your question is complicated because there are a lot of things that could cause a late period like this. I don't know if you've been doing any ovulation tracking (like temperature charts or ovulation predictor kits), but it could be that you didn't ovulate this cycle for some reason, or ovulated late. If you ovulated late, then a pregnancy test wouldn't become positive until later. Or it could be a number of other things. The bottom line is: If you haven't already, you could contact your medical provider, who knows your complete history and can help you figure out where to go from here.
Please let us know how things go. Sending my best wishes to you! -Audrey (endometriosis.net team)

    1. thank you! Yes I think I will contact my endometriosis nurse on Tuesday and see what they suggest I am now 12 days late and no sign of it appearing anytime soon! I did another clear blue pregnancy test today and at first it looked negative but then there was a faint thin line, looking in to this I think it was maybe just an evap line as I didn’t time it properly so think it was left too long!

    2. well we are sending you all the good thoughts we can. Big hugs to you <3 Keep us posted! -Kimberli (endometriosis.net team member)

  2. Hey , sending you my love as you navigate through all of this. I know it's super confusing and frustrating all at the same time. Just to clarify are you actively trying to conceive? We are not a medical community so I can't give you any specific medical answers and I sadly don't have experience with this in particular but can hopefully link you with some information or members

    1. hi, thank you for getting back to me we are actively trying to conceive yes

  3. you certainly have been through a lot dear warrior. I know the frustration and confusion of a late period. Of course, I am not a medical professional but late periods can occur for so many reasons. For me personally, sometimes when my hormones are totally out of whack, I am stressed, or taking certain medications- my period is absent. Sometimes totally and sometimes it is just later than usual. Because you are actively trying to conceive, if you haven't already, I would make an appointment with your doctor just so they can definitely confirm a negative pregnancy and try to figure out what could be going on to cause a late/no period. Hoping you get some answers soon. Please keep us posted on everything. Sending you hugs and good thoughts! -Kimberli (endometriosis.net team member)
