Herbal supplement options for endo symptoms

I know herbal supplements are not a substitute for medicine but I am wondering if anybody has experience with them? I have heard good things about turmeric and chamomile tea, some science even to support it. There really isn't herbal supplement options specifically for endo symptoms which sucks because I want something purely plant based.

  1. Hi . I hope you get some feedback from the community. Here is an article about alternative treatments that includes a section about supplements: https://endometriosis.net/complementary-alternative-treatment. There is no cure for endometriosis, of course, but many people use supplements or anti-inflammatory diets to help alleviate symptoms. The jury is still out on turmeric. Lots of community members say it reduces their inflammation, but most studies are inconclusive. Chamomile tea seems to be popular among people with endometriosis as well. Here is a video from one of our advocates about the potential benefits and what to look for when you buy it: https://endometriosis.net/video/pain-chamomile. It's always good to check with your doctor before taking supplements just to make sure they are safe and that their effects don't impact any medications negatively. I hope this helps and that you get some natural relief. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
