Getting Through the Holidays

What coping skills do you use to get through these next few weeks? There are so many holidays, often so many obligations, and so many events or people to see. What things do you do to help manage your pain, stress, or symptoms during this time of year?

  1. This is such a good topic! I recently had to travel to see my family in another state. My period was 3 days late and of course showed up THE DAY all of my family obligations started. Thankfully, my family is pretty aware and understanding of my symptoms, so they don’t expect me to have lots of energy when the bleeding starts. But I also had my period panties and my prescription anti-inflammatory, along with all of my other medications, with me. I also make my own food for holiday dinners and take time away for myself when I get overwhelmed. AND I definitely go to bed at my normal time even when everyone else is staying up late. - Keri (team member)
