diagnosis

My 24 year daughter each month when getting her period can barely manage to get up of the bathroom floor - whilst she is in pain and incredibly emotional. She has seen many doctors and specialists, and they have told her that it's just your period and stop stressing. She is exhausted and nobody will help with any sort of diagnosis - does anyone know what to do?

  1. I'm so sorry to hear that your daughter is suffering! It's especially hard to watch someone experience such pain and not be able to help them. I can feel your frustration towards the doctors that have dismissed her. Unfortunately, this is something that many folks here in this community can relate to.

We have a page which includes tips for managing endometriosis pain. I hope you will find something helpful here.
    https://endometriosis.net/chronic-pain.

Here is also an article that explains period pains and when to be concerned. https://endometriosis.net/symptoms/period-pain. This might be a good place for you both to start educating yourself before going to the next doctor's appointment.

I hope this is helpful! Please always feel free to reach out if you need support. Sending you and your daughter healing thoughts. - Kat (Team Member)
