Does anyone experience bleeding after eating certain food groups?

I have stage II endo and have been experiencing bleeding after eating certain food groups. Does anyone else experience this?

I usually keep a very clean diet for breakfast and lunch and then I eat what my family wants for dinner, which usually upsets my stomach due to high dairy, or gluten, etc. But lately, I get more abnormal bleeding after dinner. Does anyone else struggle with this? I have an IUD AND I am taking Visanne to help with the abnormal bleeding I get already day to day.

  1. Hi there - I am so sorry you are experiencing this extra bleeding. I know how frustrating that is. I cannot 100% say if the food is what is causing the bleeding though. It can certainly be a mixture of things. Your hormones, other medical conditions, the IUD and medicine even. I do know for me personally, when I eat foods that are not in my diet, I do get all sorts of PMS symptoms, like if I was to get my period. My only thought is maybe the foods are messing with my hormones causing bleeding. I would definitely talk to your doctor about this if you haven't already! And maybe try to see if making a separate dinner for you, different than your families, helps with the bleeding at all. I know it is a pain but it would be interesting to see if it helps at all! Do keep us posted. I hope you are able to figure it out and find some relief! Here for you. -Kimberli (Team Member)

    1. Thank you so much for your response! I’m definitely going to have a conversation with my doctor to see if she has any ideas as well. I agree with what you said about getting worsened pms like symptoms after eating outside of your diet... just so unusual that it’s accompanied with the bleeding 🙁

Thank you for the advice! I’ll keep you posted.
