Multiple Diagnoses: It’s Time to Look at Your Diet

Having been diagnosed with three autoimmune diseases, it really made me wonder what was going wrong, and more importantly, how I could begin to reclaim my health. That’s where I started to learn more about gastrointestinal impermeability or "leaky gut".

What is leaky gut?

When the lining of your intestines gets compromised for a variety of reasons – medications, stress, poor eating – it can allow undigested food particles to enter into the blood stream and potentially cause undesirable effects on your health. It’s not to suggest that if you have more than one diagnosis then you automatically have leaky gut, but it’s certainly something to consider. Because if it is an issue for you, it can be resolved through diet and support you in stabilizing your health.
