Fiber for Endometriosis

Estrogen is a hormone in our body that supports many vital functions. That said, having too much isn’t always a good thing.

Excess estrogen can aggravate endometriosis symptoms such as cramping. We already have enough of that. We don’t need anything that will make it worse.

A simple way to help remove excess estrogen from your body is to get adequate fiber in your diet.

Good sources of fiber include:

  • Vegetables
  • Fruit
  • Beans and legumes
  • Chia seeds
  • Natural fiber supplements

One of my favorite ways to get a good boost of fiber is in a smoothie. I’ll include spinach, berries, and chia seeds. It’s delicious, fiber-rich, and has antioxidants that help reduce inflammation.

That’s a win-win-win! Of course, the bonus to getting adequate fiber is that it helps you with going to the bathroom.
