Endometriosis re-shaped my life

Like so many others I thought pain was a normal part of life. Finally, after five years of searching I was diagnosed with stage IV endo, it was everywhere. I had two major surgeries and started on the road to recovery.

I knew to get well I had to make some changes; I started eating well, I started practicing yoga, I changed my career and even moved to a warmer climate. I don't regret any of the changes I made as they have helped shape me into a much healthier and more balanced person, thankfully I rarely experience pain these days.

After experiencing the power that diet and lifestyle changes can have, I developed a passion for nutrition and yoga, so I started studying a degree in nutrition and am now a yoga teacher, I also started my blog www.thehealingyogi.com where I share my healthy recipes and self-care tips. I am also a volunteer for QENDO (Queensland Endometriosis Association) which is a not-for-profit charity that supports anyone affected by endometriosis.

Endometriosis has re-shaped my life; my passion and purpose is now to help others regain their health and their lives back. If you're suffering from endo, please know you're not alone; in fact there's 1 in 10 of us and together we can support each other, make each other stronger and create awareness.

Health and healing,
