Started menses right after 12 years of age. Never missed a period. Bled from 7 to 12 days every month. Emergency surgery at 23 removed one ovary and numerous cysts deposited throughout the abdomen. Seven years later, massive hemorrhages, hysterectomy at 32. Adding to the pain and inconveniences, I have IBS. Pain and having to curtail many social activities, running out of fine restaurants with diarrhea, and having to change clothing was the norm. I never missed a day of school or work due to these symptoms. I pray every day for the women with these problems. It's a different life. I worked for 40 years with the handicapped which helped to put everything in perspective. My best advice----find a good caring doctor to help you.
