Which yoga poses best help organ mobility?

My pain specialist doctor recommended osteopathy for my pain caused by a lack of organ mobility because of endo. She also told me some light yoga could also help. While I wait to be able to do some osteopathy, I’d like to try some yoga at home. I’m a beginner though. Thank you in advance !

    Hi @ikelen,

There are a few posts (videos) here on the site that have yoga tips that might be useful:

    https://endometriosis.net/video/yoga-period/
    https://endometriosis.net/video/yoga-pain-2/

They don’t specifically deal with organ mobility, but a well-rounded yoga routine would incorporate the twists Jessie was talking about as well as stretches which will help your overall posture, which will also help your internal organs.

Hello @ikelen, twists are great to get everything moving, they help with blood flow and getting oxygen to move around your organs. You should not attempt them if you have a herniated disc or a similar injury, but if not, you should be safe. Twists come in a variety of forms, from easy poses to more complicated ones. There are many twists you can do seated, for when your energy levels are lower 😉 I hope this helps – Jessie (team member)
