Which yoga poses best help organ mobility?

My pain specialist doctor recommended osteopathy for my pain caused by a lack of organ mobility because of endo. She also told me some light yoga could also help. While I wait to be able to do some osteopathy, I'd like to try some yoga at home. I'm a beginner though. Thank you in advance !

  1. Hello , twists are great to get everything moving, they help with blood flow and getting oxygen to move around your organs. You should not attempt them if you have a herniated disc or a similar injury, but if not, you should be safe. Twists come in a variety of forms, from easy poses to more complicated ones. There are many twists you can do seated, for when your energy levels are lower 😉 I hope this helps – Jessie (team member)

    1. Hello Jessie,

Thank you so much for your reply ! That helps a lot ! I will try some twists 😊

  2. Hi ,

There are a few posts (videos) here on the site that have yoga tips that might be useful:

They don't specifically deal with organ mobility, but a well-rounded yoga routine would incorporate the twists Jessie was talking about as well as stretches which will help your overall posture, which will also help your internal organs.

  3. Hi ! I just thought I would chime in and share one of my favorite poses. Seated Forward Fold! Great for allowing oxygen to flow through and feed the organs. Have you started Osteopathy yet? -Kimberli (team member)
