Has anyone here tried anti-epileptic medication for endo pain?

I recently saw a pain management specialist for my chronic endo pain and she prescribed me some gabapentin, which is an anti-epileptic drug also used for neuralgic pain. I completely trust her, but I’d like to know what to expect when taking this medication, as an endo sufferer. Thanks in advance.

    Hello Pam,

Thank you for your message ! Gabapentin actually does help with my chronic pain, I still have some pain, but it’s way worse when I forget to take that medication. So I’m feeling mostly okay !
I actually saw my pain management doctor last week, she wants me to gradually stop taking gabapentin starting from August, while doing osteopathy if I still feel pain. I’m actually scared that if I stop taking that medication, I’ll be in a lot of pain that osteopathy or allopathic medicine won’t cure. I’ll keep you all updated !
    Please take care.

Personally I haven’t, but hopefully someone will chime in soon with their own experience. Thanks for reaching out – Jessie (team member)
