“No active endo”

Really looking for some advice.
In 2019 I had a lap and got diagnosed with endo and it was burnt away.
Today I had my second lap, they said they found no “active” endo and only scar tissue. So didn’t remove anything.

I feel so lost and back and square one I have been in more pain in the past year or two than I ever was before my first lap.

Has anyone experienced this? What happened after? Did you get diagnosed with something else? I just feel so lost and don’t know what to do.

  1. My heart goes out to you, . When you have a chronic illness, it is easy for both you and your doctor to blame everything on that illness. It is possible something else is going on or that the scar tissue is causing your pain. Did you ever have a time after the first surgery when you felt complete relief? It is not uncommon for endo to open the door to other health conditions, especially autoimmune diseases. There are several different specialists you can see for a fresh perspective, depending on the type and location of your pain. Your best bet would probably be to start with your primary care doctor and ask for help figuring it out. You primary care doctor can make those referrals for you.
It also wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion from a doctor who specializes in endometriois. So much is unknown about endo that it is impossible for any doctor to be a true expert. Another doctor might have been exposed to a case like yours and might have other theories about your pain.
I hope this helps and that you get some relief. If you don't mind, please keep me updated. Thinking of you and wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
