Endo Flares

Do you ever experience endo flares? What symptoms have you experienced with them? How long did they last? Was there anything you found to make them better or worse?

  1. Endo flares suck, mine lasted about 6 months and basically I just sat on the sofa with a heated blanket wrapped round me… not the best advise I know but it kind of had to run it’s course, the flare happened because the supply of tablets I took which stopped my periods went very low and they couldn’t get any so everything which had been subdued came back. I am back now on another form of the combined pill which means no more periods so hopefully things will settle down

  2. Oh endo flares are the worst arent they. For me its that deep burning pelvic pain that suddenly ramps up, bloating that makes me look months pregnant, lower back ache, nausea and just this heavy exhausted feeling. Sometimes it lasts a few hours, sometimes a few days and it can knock you flat. Stress and overdoing it always seems to make it worse, and heat, rest and being gentle with myself helps a bit but never fully takes it away. What do your flares feel like, is it more pain or more fatigue for you?

  3. Yeah I do get flares sometimes and they can feel so random honestly. For me it’s usually deep pelvic pain, crazy fatigue and that heavy inflamed feeling in the lower abdomen. Sometimes my back joins the party too which is the worst. They can last a few hours or a couple days depending on the cycle. Heat helps me a bit and resting, but stress and lack of sleep seem to make it way worse. Endo flares can be so unpredictable though. What do yours usually feel like? 😩
