Breathing Your Way into Pain Relief

Did you know that we only use about one-sixth of our lung capacity? Pretty crazy, right?

We also reverse our breathing over the years. As babies, we start as deep belly breathers, then over the years – insert stress, trauma, life – we become shallow chest breathers.

The effects of this change can leave your body in a more stressful state, i.e. less relaxed. So, incorporating deep belly breathing into your day can help you feel more relaxed in your body – a tremendously beneficial experience when you’re living with chronic pain, as endometriosis-sisters often do.

Try out this breathing exercise and share your experience below.
