My Endo Story

I have been living with endometriosis for the last 15-20 years. I have been desensitized from all sorts of painkillers due to the frequent use because of my endo pain. Multiple ER visits and one surgery. There are days when I can’t even walk from the pain let alone play with my 5 yr old twins :( always looking for some type of relief on this bad days.

Just like you, I had to give up certain types of painkillers, because my gut took a massive toll from overdoing them. Have you every tried using a TENS machine? It does provide me with a lot of relief. Hi <inline-mention user-id="2053088" username="harpseall"/> , I’m so sorry to hear how much pain you’re in despite the surgery. Sadly endometriosis is a chronic illness for which there is no cure, but many women have found lasting relief with the appropriate surgery. Maybe it would help to see a different doctor? If you receive the right surgery you should be free of symptoms for at least a few years. I really hope you find the relief and treatment you need. Christina - team member

So sorry to hear of all this pain you are still experiencing <inline-mention user-id="2053088" username="harpseall"/> . May I ask, have you seen an endometriosis specialist and was surgery excision? While I know there is no cure for endometriosis, or real treatment that will prevent it from coming back, or stopping pain, I will say having excision surgery with a specialist helped tremendously. I have also found a change in diet, while extremely hard to do sometimes, has been super helpful with managing pain and flare ups. Taking out certain things like dairy, soy, sugars, -just to name a few. I have found CBD products to be helpful as well. Along with a lot of light walking and moving around. Also to chime in on what Jessie had said, TENS unit works wonders for me as well. I definitely love to use it when I am in pain.
